COURT JESTER  (Anderson, 1999) 24” tall, 36” wide, single, mid, no staking $100 (landscape)

Funny that we’ve seen his marvelous show in our fields and now you too can enjoy his show in your gardens! His wonderfully small stature will provide delightful viewing in a smaller theatrical garden.

GORDON E. SIMONSON  (Anderson) 30” tall, 42” wide, semi-double, mid, no staking $300 (cut, landscape)

Roger Anderson’s most recent introductions. By far, one of his all-time favorites -- even better than Bartzella. We have the honor of being the first grower to sell this in commerce. Absolutely astounding!

HILLARY  (Anderson, 1999) 30” tall, 42” wide, double, mid, no staking $80 (cut, landscape)

It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind, and ‘Hillary’ indulges herself. Blooms first arrive as red, then soften to red and cream, and then finish in a velvety vanilla. The foliage is a handsome dark green.

JAPANESE ITOH  (Unknown) 30” tall, 38” wide, semi-double, mid-late, no staking $40 (cut, landscape)

This beauty came to us by way of Japan with no known ‘originator’. A stunning feature of this amazing cross is its dark blue-green foliage. Blooms mesmerize its audience with soft golden petals.

MORNING LILAC  (Anderson, 1999) 28” tall, 40” wide, single to semi-double, mid, no staking $150 (landscape)

Common peonies are white or pink, and some intersectionals are yellow, but this unique beauty is downright lavender colored! ‘Lilac’ adds a decidedly exotic touch to your peony beds.

NEW MILLENNIUM  (Anderson) 30” tall, 48” wide, semi-double, mid, no staking $250 (cut, landscape)

Another new introduction by Roger Anderson. Roger thinks Gordon E. Simonson is tops, but this is our favorite new intersectional. A coral and peach beauty that is a photographer’s (oops) gardener’s dream come true!

PASTEL SPLENDOR  (Anderson/Seidl, 1996) 26” tall, 36” wide, single, mid-late, no staking $50 (landscape)

SCARLET HEAVEN  (Anderson, 1999) 30” tall, 48” wide, single, mid, no staking $40 (cut)

This shameless flirt lives up to her name. Showy, brilliantly scarlet blooms will not lose their intensity, even when planted in full sun. The foliage is attractive through the blooming cycle, and then, may want to cut back early.

This stunning plant starts with a watermelon-red bloom intricately laced with strawberry flares. Add good foliage and you almost have an edible plant. Treat your eyes over and over again with a meal fit for royalty.

WHITE EMPEROR  (Seidl, 1989) 28" high, 36" wide, semi-double, mid to late, no staking $150 (landscape)

His majesty prevails as the purest white and perhaps the only true white intersectional hybrid peony. The sport of Yellow Emperor is rarely offered in commerce. Napoleon would have been proud of this plant.

YELLOW EMPEROR  (Itoh/Smirnow, 1974) 32” tall, 48” wide, semi-double, no staking $50 (cut, landscape)

This stately yellow came to the US as some of the first true yellow intersectionals (Itoh hybrids). Of those four, this is considered the best overall plant for bloom quality and foliage excellence.
